Adding the hollow shaft design to the h3 stepper provides even greater design flexibility for Portescap users by enabling them to reduce the space required by the motor.

The motors are suitable for telecommunications devices, the replacement of pneumatic cylinders and general factory automation applications.

The models promise increased design flexibility by allowing wires or other media to be routed through the motor shaft. h3 motors are available in NEMA 17, 23 and 34 frame sizes (short, one and two stack lengths available in each frame size), with hollow shaft diameters of 4, 7 and 11 mm diameter.

These 1.8-degree step motors feature a design that enables them to deliver up to 30+% higher torque than traditional hybrid step motors. They also feature an aluminium housing for good heat dissipation and lower power consumption.

Neodymium iron boron magnets are used to optimise torque density, and a bearing retainer and O-ring to help reduce noise. Larger bearings enable the motor to effectively handle higher side and radial loads.
