Cree has released its latest addition to the XLamp LED family, the MC-E LED.

The multi-chip device retains the same 7 x 9 mm footprint as the existing XLamp XR family LEDs while providing four times the light output.

At 9.8 W, the device provides up to 790 lumens at 6000 K and up to 605 lumens at 3000 K.

The LED is available in both cool and warm white.
