Molex has released the redesigned ModLink system - the end-to-end, factory terminated, plug and play solution.
The system accommodates duplex SC, LC,ST and MT-RJ fibre adapters and provides factory-controlled optical performance, enabling flexible system configuration and fast, installation.
The system provides OM1, OM2, OM3 and OS1 fibre performance options and can support 10G systems. It is suitable for facilities and networks such as data centres, storage area networks, applications servers and low optical insertion loss backbone risers.
The 10G systems support applications such as: IEEE 802.3 10Gbase-SR/SW, 802.3 10Gbase-LX4 and fibre channel1200-M5E-SN1. They also support all legacy systems designed to run over 50 µm multimode fibre-optic cable.
