The phyCORE-ARM7/LPC229x supports high-performance, low power LCP2292 and LPC2294 ARM7TDMI-S devices from Philips that offer up to four on-chip CAN nodes.

Other chip-level features include emulation and embedded trace support, 256 KB flash memory, an eight-channel 10 bit ADC, PWM channels and up to nine external interrupt pins.

The device has a 128 bit wide memory interface and an accelerator architecture enabling 32 bit execution at maximum clock rate.

These features make the device particularly suitable for automotive and industrial control as well as medical systems and fault-tolerant maintenance buses.

With a wide range of additional serial communication interfaces, as well as a 10/100 Mbit ethernet controller, the module is also suitable for communication gateways and protocol converters.

Flexible memory management of the phyCORE-LPC229x enables the user to select a configuration based on the needs of their application, therefore optimising costs.

Phytec rapid development kits enable immediate start-up of insert-ready single board computers. Each kit contains an SBC module mounted on a development board that features all hardware needed for immediate power-up of the module.

Once programmed, the module can be removed from the board and inserted into a target system.
