Remote controllers

Thursday, 06 December, 2007 | Supplied by: CrispTech Pty Ltd

CrispTech has announced the IP power range of remote power controllers or rebooters. These enable remote control of power outlets via ethernet either from across the street or across the world.

This means that attached devices can have their power cycled or the device restarted by anybody that has a network or internet connection and the appropriate security authority.

Initially, there is a four-port standalone unit and an eight-port rackmount unit.

There are additional options to also control PCs across the network using the wake on LAN feature and to also shut down a server with a programmable time delay.

For users who want more functionality or customisation, a software development kit is included.
