Toshiba TC78H660FNG H-bridge motor driver
Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage has launched the H-bridge motor driver TC78H660FNG, housed in a TSSOP16 package with a widely used pin assignment. It is suitable for applications include mobile devices (such as toys and robots) and home appliances (such as refrigerators and smart meters).
Toshiba’s DMOS process allows the driver to achieve a low ON resistance of 0.48Ω at its maximum rating of 18 V/2 A, and reduces heat generation compared with the company’s current products. The product has a regulator for driving internal circuits and can drive a motor with a single power supply ranging from 2.5 to 16 V.
Its wide range of applications includes mobile devices powered by a 3.7 V lithium-ion battery, 5 V USB powered devices and 12 V system devices for home appliances. It also supports a low 1.8 V interface.
