iWOW Connections has released the TR-800 GSM/GPRS wireless communication module to target the machine-to-machine (M2M) market in Australia and New Zealand.
The module has been designed to deliver performance, upgradeability and a robust platform for easy development of customised applications. The versatile module simplifies complex wireless integration of M2M product design.
The module has a small form factor of approximately 4 cm2 with a thickness of 3 mm and supports quad-band (GSM850/900/1800/1900). It also offers voice and data transmission with download speeds of up to 85.6 Kbps.
The module enables M2M wireless data communication, allowing the automation of many data collection and transmission functions. The scalable embedded module is suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications, including: automated meter reading; vending machine; point-of-sales; fleet management; security and surveillance; healthcare and industrial systems.
Coupled with global regulatory compliances like CE mark, R&TTE, FCC, GCF, PTCRB and RoHS, its quad-band feature allows seamless communication on a global platform.
