16-bit oscilloscopes can fulfil demand for high detail

The vertical resolution of an oscilloscope determines how accurately signals are displayed. Industries including consumer goods, medicines and R&D are increasingly demanding high vertical definition devices.
But measuring low-voltage components as low as a few hundred mV on a signal that also exhibits high-voltage components can be a difficult challenge. Techniques including digital post-processing can help provide the fine-grain resolution required.
