ICP Electronics IR-711UB VPN router

The IR-711UB, a compact yet rugged industrial-grade cellular VPN router, has been released to provide mobile internet access from any GPRSG, 3G or 3.5G USB modem to the local area network.

The device includes 1x 10/100Base-T(X) and 1x USB 2.0 port and features space-saving IP30 housing, wide temperature tolerance (-20 to 70°C). The DIN rail-mounting option allows it to be installed in space-tight indoor venues that are subject to extreme temperature conditions such as public buses or other in-vehicle applications.

Networking is convenient, secure and reliable. The unit supports HTTPS and VPN for secure internet browsing and virtual network, while SSL ensures that data transmission is well encrypted.

For full control of internet security, it offers IP filters and MAC filters while the NAT feature provides seamless links between different IP addresses. Upon encountering power or link failure, the IR-711UB sends out warnings to network devices.

The device offers network expansion options when used in conjunction with other compatible devices allowing the operator to add more users or devices, or share USB modem internet access via wired or a wireless network.

For those still using older technologies, it is backward compatible with 56K modems.
