IEI HDCS-2U and HDCS-4U rack-mounted H.264 real-time video servers

The HDCS-2U and HDCS-4U are video processing systems for video/audio recording in 1080 p 60 fps from 6-30 Mbps bit rate. The video servers feature up to 32 channels of HDMI input supporting real-time recording in H.264/AVC high-profile level 4.2 format and MPEG-1 Layer II, used for audio compression at 256 Kbps.

Both products support HDMI 1080 p 60 fps real-time video recording by hardware compression SoC. They come with an Intel Core i7 processor and 4 GB/8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory to deliver advanced data transmission. The servers feature a built-in 500 GB HDD plus 1-3 x 5.25″ expansion bays for extra HDD data storage capability.

The systems provide real-time encoding for high-density video recording applications. The 2U server supports up to 12 channels of 1080 p 60 fps video streaming while the 4U server supports 32 channels of video streaming.

The HDCS series allows Intel Core processors to decode video streams for video analytic applications. The decoding performance depends on CPU or chipset performance.

The video servers are suitable for multiple applications such as video monitoring and log systems, distance education with high-quality streaming technology, sport and game broadcasting, and highway traffic status monitoring.
