Tuesday, 28 July, 2009 | Supplied by: Emona Instruments Pty Ltd

Emona Instruments has launched the Dali TE thermal imaging camera that can be regarded as an everyday tool rather than a high-priced instrument.

It is a 160 x 120 resolution thermal imaging device with a temperature range of -20 to +250°C and laser pointer. It is suitable as a service tool for everyday electrical, industrial and HVAC applications.

Measurement modes include moveable spot, moveable area (maximum, minimum and average), isotherm and alarm function. It also provides a choice of three palettes. Emissivity is variable from 0.01 to 1.0 or can be selected from a predefined materials list.

Around 100 images can be stored on the built-in flash memory and are downloaded to PC via USB. The images are saved as 14-bit radiometric jpegs and include all measurement data when downloaded to PC.

Battery life is three hours and the unit is supplied with two Li-Ion rechargeable battery modules and intelligent fast charger.

It is supplied with Dali Infrared Reporter software, a full-function reporting and analysis software package. Users have full post-analysis functions including maximum, minimum, average, line profile and histogram.

The software also provides multi-page report generation and user-customisable templates. Users can also link visible light images taken with photographic cameras.
