FLIR has released its i3 infrared camera that is pocket-sized and multipurpose for building and electrical inspections.

It is designed to suit newcomers to thermography with a simple menu image store in JPEG format in an SD card.

The camera weighs 340 g and produces instant, point-and-shoot JPEG infrared imagery. Operators can download and view images and share them with colleagues or clients. Up to 5000 images can be saved onto the included MicroSD card and they can be analysed using the included QuickReport PC software.

The camera measures temperatures up to +250°C and detects temperature differences down to 0.15°C, displayed on the bright 2.8 LCD.

Specifications include: weight 340 g; battery time 5 h; IR sensor, 60 x 60 pixels; 12.5° FOV; high sensitivity (sensitive to \ colour LCD; ergonomic design; accuracy ±2°C.
