Intel solid-state drives

Intel solid-state drives (SSDs), available from Mouser Electronics, are a hard drive alternative for boosting the performance and reliability of laptop and desktop PCs. They are claimed to be 50% faster, 60% more durable and use 20% less power compared to conventional computer hard drives.

The 530 Series SSDs target consumer desktops and laptops, provide a small form factor, low cost of operation and low idle power. These SSDs continue to evolve as more consumer platforms emerge, not just for traditional desktops and laptops but also for Ultrabooks, tablets and other small form-factor mobile systems.

Intel’s DC S3500 Series target data centres and combine fast read/write performance with the strong data protection of 20 nm flash memory technology. These SSDs process data at a rapid pace, with low latencies and high data throughput.

All Intel SSDs have a 6 Gbps SATA interface and are totally silent in operation while offering protection from impact and vibration. Its 256-bit hardware encryption secures sensitive data. SSD drive capacities of up to 800 GB are available.
