Epix has introduced its visual inspection system for capturing and saving images in applications such as printed circuit board inspection, biomedical imaging, component alignment, surface analysis, defect analysis, solder joints and quality assurance.
The system includes a silicon video 5C10 colour or 5M10 monochrome 2594 x 1944 pixel camera, XCap-Lite imaging software, a Linux-based computer, an LCD camera monitor and an inspection stand.
Windows XP and XP Professional are available as options. The system has a 25 mm f/1.4 C mount lens. Also included are two USB 2.0 ports, an RS232 serial port and a parallel port.
