Avalue Technology has announced its Mini ITX barebone system, the BMX-T540-C246, which is based on Intel C246P processors. It is designed for wide-ranging applications including gambling machines, office devices, healthcare applications, digital signage, POS and industrial applications.
A barebone computer is a partially assembled platform or an unassembled kit of computer parts allowing more customisation and lower costs than a retail computer system. Users can flexibly determine the required CPU, memory, storage device, etc according to their needs and budget.
The Mini ITX barebone system features an Intel LGA1151 socket, which supports 8/9th Generation Core Pentium/Celeron/i7/ i5/i3 Processors (max TDP at 95 W) and the Intel Xeon Processor E3-2000 Family (Workstation). It supports two 260-pin SODIMM sockets up to 64 GB DDR4 2666 MHz SDRAM (C246 ECC memory supported by CPU). It offers up to two 2.5″ HDDs/SSDs and supports multiple displays, including 1 x VGA, 2 x HDMI and Triple Display.
The product is designed with 1 x M.2 (2242/2260/2280) M-Key which supports PCI-e x4 SSD and 1 x M.2 (2230) E-Key which supports a Wi-Fi module. It offers a wide array of I/O interfaces and has high expandability.
