Solid 3D models/STEP files

The 3D models of Omnetics connectors are created into STEP Files (.stp) made for insertion\imported into a variety of different CAD programs (ProE, Solidworks, Inventor, etc).

These files are used by engineers/designers to aid in their design of inter-connects within their particular application.

By having models available in the design stage the user doesn’t have to create them, therefore saving a lot of time and effort. It will also decrease 'guessing' errors because the 3D models are created to size with all available termination options.

Once imported, the user can move and manipulate them within the design and position them where needed to check for size constraints. The user can take measurements, see size relations, layout boards based off the footprints, etc. Another feature is that the user can have them instantly, rather than waiting for a sample to see what or if it will fit, import the STEP file and see right now.

Omnetics connectors solid 3D models/STEP files are also available, upon request, for most standard Omnetics parts.
