Lightning arrestor test

Wednesday, 17 June, 2009 | Supplied by: TechRentals

Testing a lightning arrestor can be undertaken with the handheld Megger DET20C ground resistance clamp tester.

The instrument clamps around the arrestor conductor and induces a current to make a direct measurement of the resistance to ground.

The instrument can also be used for general earth testing of the multi-grounded systems and also to measure leakage current. Data storage is provided for download to a computer and fixed interval measurement logging is possible.
