Thin film chip fuses

Bourns has announced its SinglFuse SF series of thin film chip fuses.

The range provides overcurrent protection in three surface-mountable footprint sizes. Each size features two series to cover the fusing types of fast-acting and slow-blow.

The SinglFuse series is suitable for LCD monitors, digital cameras, mobile phones, industrial controllers and rechargeable battery packs. The fuses protect against a wide range of overcurrent events and feature current ratings from 500 mA up to 7 A. The thin film design ensures precision for specific fusing characteristics.

Single-use thin film chip fuses are specifically designed for applications which require one-time acting fuses that allow a physical break in the circuit if a short circuit arises, eliminating the need for a circuit reset.

The thin film design allows users to order customised thin film chip fuses to meet their specific product needs. The fuses are RoHS compliant and halogen free.
