EnOcean Sensor Kit for home automation

The EnOcean Sensor Kit is a self-powered sensor kit for designers and enthusiasts interested in home and building automation. The product requires no cables or batteries and can be used with the EnOcean Pi for switching lights, controlling blinds and acquiring wireless sensor information, like temperature and window/door status detection.

The self-powered wireless sensors and a switch, suitable for home automation applications, can directly communicate with an intelligent smart home server via the EnOcean standardised ultralow-power radio protocol. This offers wireless communication with a range of up to 30 m in buildings.

Featuring a set of three wireless sensors - push button, magnet contact switch and temperature sensor - the kit can be used in home automation applications that require remote sensing and remote control via tablets or smartphones. For example, the Raspberry Pi is a suitable platform to set up a smart home server where the EnOcean Pi acts as a bridge (gateway-controller) to the EnOcean switches and sensors providing data and status information.
