Yageo Corporation has released its PF1206 ultra-low resistance current sensor designed for mini portable device applications.

Featuring a resistance range of 1 to 50 mΩ and temperature coefficient of 75 ppm/°C, the PF1206, manufactured using in-house metal foil and metal alloy processing to combine PCB substrate and resistance foil, can deliver 5-10% less temperature rise than similar products.

It is available in both 0.25 and 0.5 W, is particularly suitable for use in the power control circuit of netbook and notebook computers or the hard disk of other compact portable devices that have stringent space as well as current sensing and overcurrent protection requirements.
