Richardson Electronics has announced a franchise distributor partnership with Radiotronix, of Oklahoma.

Under the terms of the agreement, Richardson will distribute, on a global basis, the entire Wi.232 DTS and frequency hopping spread-spectrum modules, as well as the Wi.M family of developer-controlled, spread-spectrum capable products developed by Radiotronix.

These modules were designed to support powerful, feature-rich Radio Frequency (RF)/Wireless applications such as remote control, wire replacement, automated meter reading, industrial and home automation, medical, security and HVAC.

In addition to the Wi.323/Wi.M modules, Richardson will also offer the Radiotronix Rapid Development Quick Start Kits. These kits support rapid evaluation and development using Evaluation Modules (EVMs).

These EVMs were created as an easy-to-use prototyping tool for the WI. family of surface-mount modules. Design engineers can get a quick proof-of-concept prototype working without having to be concerned with RF-specific design consideration.

Each EVM is populated with the appropriate module, an LDO regulator, an SMA connector and two-pinned headers.
