Electronics Industry Action Agenda
Wednesday, 13 June, 2001
The federal government is to develop an electronics industry action agenda in partnership with the industry.
The Australian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturer's Association (AEEMA), the peak industry association has worked side by side with the government in developing the agenda.
Through the agenda, the industry will work with government to build its capacity, increase import replacement and further develop international markets.
Action Agendas are a key government strategy in assisting Australian industries to better position themselves to meet the challenges of a modern global marketplace.
The government's decision to develop this agenda at this time recognises the importance of the industry in underpinning future economic growth.
