Lead-free Televisions

The Panasonic TV manufacturing plant in Sydney has become the first factory in the group in the southern hemisphere to convert its production line to using lead-free solder.

The parent company, Matsushita Electric, has already converted some of its production plants to lead-free soldering and plans to complete the program by 2003.
