M/A Com acquires Com-Net Ericsson

M/A Com, an operating unit of Tyco Electronics, recently acquired Com-Net Ericsson, giving it the new name of M/A-Com Private Radio Systems.
M/A-Com is a developer and mnaufacturer of radio frequency and microwave semiconductors, components and IP networks to the wireless telecommunications and defense-related industries.
Com-Net had a history of developing land mobile radio communcations - hence the merging of the two companies.
