Peregrine Semiconductor Australia is to integrate a lithography, track and thermal system into its ultra-thin-silicon CMOS silicon-on-sapphire 0.25-micron process.

The process is used to manufacture radio frequency chips for satellite communications, interfaces for fibre optic communications, and radiation-hardened ICs for space and defence applications.
