GPS module gets increased performance with V2.01 FW

Trimble's Copernicus GPS receiver's FW upgrade claims to provide even higher horizontal and vertical accuracy, faster hot starts and further improves one of the highest performing GPS modules in the market.

V2.01 FW also adds additional TSIP and NMEA commands and provides WAAS, EGNOS support for products intended to operate in the US and EU.

The new specifications will help further enhance the reputation of the GPS module gained through good in-field performance.

According to Trimble, the Copernicus module, as with the Lassen iQ, has balanced sensitivity specifications, accuracies, power usage and startup time to ensure performance. With users and in-field drive tests the Copernicus has demonstrated results equal to the best in the industry. Copernicus is a 19 x 19 mm single-sided module packaged in tape and reel for pick and place manufacture.
