MAX2745 GPS receiver

Thursday, 03 March, 2005 | Supplied by: Arrow Electronics Australia Pty Ltd

Maxim has introduced the MAX2745, a single-chip, RF front-end for GPS. This IC offers high integration and eliminates the need for SAW and bulky discrete IF filters.

The device supports both 3rd overtone crystal designs in 32 MHz and fundamental-frequency crystal designs in 16 MHz, as well as TCXO implementation. In addition, it incorporates an on-chip temperature sensor and crystal oscillator with trimmed capacitors.

The device is suitable for general navigation and tracking systems, such as in-vehicle navigation, fleet management, asset tracking and management, location-based services, emergency/roadside assistance, geographical information systems, recreational handheld and marine navigation systems, as well as many mobile and battery-operated consumer electronics.
