Monday, 10 September, 2007 | Supplied by: Apex Tool Group

Weller has developed the next generation of reworkstations - the WR3000M - is specifically tailored to the needs and requirements of professional repairers and for those involved in electronic sub-assemblies in industrial production engineering.

The unit has three independent tool channels with automatic tool detection allowing the simultaneous operation of three soldering tools. Precise temperature control performance at the soldering tip is guaranteed by the digital control, together with sensors and heat-transfer technology.

The big LCD allows clear information and simple handling. Special functions include the onboard menu system, allowing operators to change station parameters such as set-back, auto-off, temperature offsets and windows; automatic channel changing; and up to three temperature pre-selection buttons for each channel.

It is also equipped with a mini USB port. The extensive PC software supplied allows the operator to change station parameters, verify temperatures and monitor and datalog usage.

All Weller tools from the high-speed WMRP micro soldering pencil to the HAP200 200 W hot air pencil can be connected.

The station is supplied with a WP80 80W soldering, DSX80 80 W desoldering, HAP200 200 W hot air and WVP vacuum pickup pencils.
