WOLF Advanced Technology VPX3U-THOR-RD rapid development single board computer
Metromatics has launched the WOLF VPX3U-THOR-RD, also known as WOLF-16T9, for customers across Australia and New Zealand.
The VPX3U-THOR-RD is a rugged 3U VPX rapid development single board computer featuring NVIDIA IGX Thor technology. Designed for demanding C5ISR applications, the module provides advanced AI and high-performance computing capability, high data transfer rates and cybersecurity features for deployed systems.
The module delivers 2070 FP4 TFLOPs of AI compute and incorporates an embedded Blackwell GPU with 2560 CUDA cores and 96 Gen 5 Tensor cores. It also includes a 14-core Arm Neoverse-V3AE CPU operating at 2.6 GHz, 128 GB ECC LPDDR5X memory and Multi-Instance GPU support for two instances.
Designed for rugged embedded environments, the module also supports operating temperatures from -40 to +85°C, 10 G peak sine vibration, 40 G peak shock, and configurable module power from 60–140 W. The module measures 160 x 100 x 25.4 mm and weighs approximately 1 kg.
The SOSA Aligned module is designed to provide rapid access to NVIDIA IGX Thor in a VPX form factor and includes 1 TB NVMe storage, 2x 10GBASE-KR backplane Ethernet, USB 3.2, USB 2.0, CANbus, DisplayPort, front panel USB-C for setup and debug and 2.5GBASE-T Ethernet connectivity.
The VPX3U-THOR-RD is suitable for a range of applications, including rugged AI processing, high-performance embedded computing, video processing and display, and AI inference, encode, capture and processing.
The module is ANSI/VITA 48/65 compliant and aligned to SOSA SBC slot profile 14.2.16.
