When process measurements are spread across a plant, bringing every sensor signal back to a central control cabinet can add wiring and installation work. The Acromag BusWorks NT2210 places analog I/O closer to field instruments and makes their readings available over an Ethernet network.

The module provides eight differential current inputs for signals such as 4–20 mA sensor loops, along with two limit alarms. It can be used to collect measurements from instruments monitoring tank levels, pressure, flow or other process conditions. Its differential 16-bit conversion supports dependable measurement where engineers need to bring multiple analog signals into a monitoring or control system.

The NT2210 forms part of Acromag’s modular BusWorks NT2000 series. An NTE module provides the Ethernet interface and I/O channels; NTX expansion modules can extend the system to as many as 32 differential current inputs on one IP address. This gives integrators a way to add measurement points as requirements grow.

Applications include manufacturing processes, utilities, water infrastructure and distributed equipment monitoring.
