National Instruments 5792 and 5793 high-bandwidth RF FlexRIO adapter modules

The NI 5792 RF receiver adapter module, and NI 5793 RF transmitter adapter module, extend the company’s portfolio of RF FlexRIO adapter modules and software-defined radio products to deliver very wide, instantaneous, real-time bandwidth solutions. Both modules feature 200 MHz of real-time bandwidth for reception and transmission of wireless waveforms, and take advantage of the NI FlexRIO user-programmable FPGA back end to facilitate real-time signal processing for each of the transmit and receive signal chains independently.

Processing wideband waveforms in real time creates significant computational and system throughput design challenges. NI LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA and FlexRIO modules such as the PXIe-7966R compose a solution for advanced communication system prototyping. In fact, the combination of the NI 5792, the NI 5793, LabVIEW, LVFPGA and the PXIe-7966R in a PXI system delivers a powerful yet easy-to-use software-defined radio platform that is very scalable, enabling users to rapidly prototype SISO systems and expand to multichannel MIMO applications seamlessly.
