Advantech embedded boards based on the Core i7 processor

Advantech has released a range of Atom-based embedded boards, based on the latest generation of N450/D510 processors. The platforms range from computer on modules, 3.5/5.25″ single board computers to industrial motherboards. The low-power devices serve a wide range of applications that include: POS, kiosk, digital signage, medical and factory automation.

The COM-Ultra SOM-7562 is suitable for personal handheld applications. The COM-Micro SOM-6763 and ETX 3.0 SOM-4463 will be ready at the end of Q1, 2010.

For single board computers, the 3.5″ PCM-9362, 5.25″ PCM-9562 and PC/104 CPU module PCM-3362 are all available for compact application development. The company will also be introducing an industrial motherboard called IMB-212. There is the half-size SBC PCI-7031 for highly expandable applications.

The company has also released a series of embedded boards based on the Core i7 processor. The boards range from computer on modules, single board computers to industrial motherboards and are suitable for multitasking and high-quality digital media solutions.

They serve a wide range of applications that include: telecom, factory automation, military, medical and gaming.

The COM-Express SOM-5788 is suitable for graphic-intensive and dual-display applications. The company will also be introducing an industrial motherboard called AIMB-270 - bringing top performance with power saving to the Mini-ITX motherboard class.

Four other industrial motherboards based on the Core i7 processor have been released. These include: the Mini-ITX AIMB-280, MicroATX AIMB-580, ATX AIMB-780 and the PICMG 1.3 SBC PCE-5125.
