Avalue EPI-QM77 EPIC module board
Backplane Systems Technology has announced the release of the latest generation of boards by Avalue, powered by third-generation Intel Core i5/i7 processors and the Mobile Intel QM77 Express chipset. Compared to the previous generation Intel Core processor family, the platform is said to deliver up to 15% more CPU performance, up to 50% more 3D graphics performance and up to 1.8x HD to HD transcode speed.
The EPIC module board EPI-QM77 supports 1 x 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM system memory with up to 8 GB DDR3 1333/1600 SDRAM capacity. It supports dual-channel 18-/24-bit LVDS and triple display configurations. Rich connectivity includes 2 x SATA III, 2 x COM, 4 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0 and 8-bit DIO.
Intel third-generation products enable data security, system responsiveness and manageability. The platform is suitable for various applications such as digital signage, high-end set-top box, high-end kiosk, medical and gaming.
