iBase’s FWA8207 1U 19″ rackmount high-performance network appliance is built around the Intel 3450 PCH Express chipset and supports LGA1156 Intel Xeon/Core i7/i5/i3 processors up to 3.33 GHz speed and supports 16 GB of DDR3 1066/1333 DIMM memory in four slots.

PCI Express gigabit ethernet functionality comes from 6x 82574L controllers and 3x SATA connectors on board provide 3 Gbps data throughput speed. Expansion is available to support four-port gigabit LAN card plus1x compact flash and 1x Mini PCI express slot (m-SATA compatible).

To meet various users demands, the device provides three models to support internal 2.5″ HDD, 3.5″ HDD and different LGA1156 processors. Users are provided with flexible SKU for product value and cost saving.

Other features include 4x USB 2.0 ports, 2x COM ports and a watchdog timer. It is a suitable and powerful networking solution for firewall and VPN applications.
