The iBase MB980 ATX industrial motherboard features the fourth-generation Intel Core based on the Intel Q87 chipset and the fourth-generation Intel Core processors. The product provides improved CPU, media and graphics performance as well as energy efficiency, making it suitable in intelligent platforms for security, infotainment, gaming, automation and digital signage applications. Furthermore, it is embedded with Intel vPro Technology, an added security needed by intelligent systems, to provide a comprehensive set of security and manageability.

The unit comes with four standard- or low-voltage DDR3 sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory. Graphics interfaces include DVI-I, DVI-D and DisplayPort. High interconnectivity is available through two gigabit ethernets, 14 x USB ports, 6 x serial ports (jumperless selection on COM1 for RS232/422/485) and 6 x SATA ports.

Expansion cards can be used with the onboard four PCI, PCI-E(x16), PCI-E(x4) and PCI-E(x1) slots. Other useful features are watchdog timer, digital I/O and Intel Active Management Technology 9.0.
