iBase Technology MI980 Mini-ITX board
iBase Technology has launched the MI980 board in Mini-ITX form factor, supporting the fourth-generation Intel Core i7/i5 processors. The motherboard is based on the mobile Intel QM87 and HM86 Express chipsets, said to offer an increase in graphics and CPU performance over previous generations. The board design was developed mainly for industrial and embedded markets that require high processing capability but are constrained by power limits.
The product is equipped with two standard voltage or low-voltage DDR3 SO-DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory. Video connections include DVI-I, DVI-D, LVDS/eDP and DisplayPort. To accommodate expansion cards, it also comes with one PCI Express x16 and two Mini PCI Express x1 slots. Standard to the 170 x 170 mm platform are 6 x USB 2.0, 4 x USB 3.0, 6 x COM, 4 x SATA III and 2 x SATA II with the latest Intel-based dual gigabit LAN support, which allow comprehensive peripheral and networking features.
The unit is also available with capabilities such as Intel Active Management Technology 9.0, Trusted Platform Module 1.2, RAID and Intel vPro technology.
