ICP Electronics ACT-408A panel PC

The ACT-408A is an 8 panel PC designed for access control and security applications.

It belongs to the ACT series of panel PCs with built-in RFID readers. It is a touch control system with dual EM and MIFARE reading capabilities and features an Atom N270 processor with fanless support.

The colour screen boasts a full interface display, allowing for all operations to be managed directly using the touch screen only.

Other features include a built-in open door relay, alarm relay and exit button input, a tamper detection function, built-in 3 W speaker and microphone for bi-directional voice communications or voice messages, a 300 k pixel web-camera for real-time image/video access and capture or facial recognition.

The PC includes 802.11 b/g wireless connection and a Wiegand communications bus interface allowing physical entry control via a standard Wiegand 26 protocol via the slave reader.

This makes the device suitable for controlling and monitoring large entrances and exits. It also includes the One Key Recovery software that creates a full system backup on demand and allows recovery from system failure by restoring the system from a previous backup.

This system can be matched with almost any access controller available and is IP64 rated (water and dust resistant), which makes it suitable for harsh environments.
