IEI has released the HD-SDI-BOX, a high-definition serial digital interface transmission box supporting 720p/1080i video resolution.
The kit, combining the HD-SDI-BOX-M (master) and the HD-SDI-BOX-S (slave), offers a high-definition serial digital interface for long-distance signal transmission. With the kit, the HDMI or VGA video signal can be transmitted directly through a 100 m coaxial cable without compression.
The kit also supports touch-screen remote control that is linked through the RJ45 Cat5 cable and RS232 cable.
Using one master and two slave systems to connect to PC and display devices will extend the distance signal transmission up to 200 m. The user can extend the connection distance even further by adding more slave systems. In effect, adding 1x HD-SDI-BOX slave system can extend the HD or SD video transmission distance from 100 to 300 m.
