Linear Technology LTM8008 six-output DC/DC µModule regulator

Linear Technology has released the LTM8008, a six-output DC/DC µModule regulator with guaranteed operation from -40 to 150°C. It includes a 3 to 72 V input SEPIC converter and six linear regulators, housed in a 15 x 15 x 2.82 mm LGA package.

The multiple-output DC/DC regulator incorporates the company’s design and manufacturing expertise, addressing dense point-of-load voltage regulation for markets such as motor vehicle, defence and avionics.

The device regulates a 3 to 72 V input supply to 5.6 V output with an onboard SEPIC converter with buck and boost conversion capability. This 5.6 V, in return, powers six linear regulators to generate five 5 V rails and one 3.3 V rail with output currents ranging from 150 to 500 mA.

The regulator is rated for operation over extreme temperatures from -40 to 150°C.
