Quake Q4000 Iridium 3G/GPS modem

The Q4000 Satellite modem for Iridium, from Quake Global, provides dual-mode Iridium Satellite SBD connectivity with quad-band 3G/HSPA+ and GPS.

The product is fully user programmable and can be used for stand-alone applications using its high-performance processor and a flexible Application Programmer’s interface. Optional configuration software enables users to configure the modem without the need for more complex programming. The configuration software allows the user to input settings for almost all features on the platform.

For monitoring applications, the product provides two external analog inputs and eight digital GPIOs, three external RS232 serial ports and includes built-in software support for messaging using the J1939 protocol. With an onboard GPS chipset, the device provides the location of mobile assets and is suitable for tracking applications. Dual-mode GSM and satellite-only versions are also available.
