STMicroelectronics TSX7 series precision 16 V op amps
STMicroelectronics has introduced the TSX7 series of precision 16 V op amps, featuring a wide operating-voltage range and good robustness.
The low input-offset voltage (no more than 200 µV at 25°C), common-mode rejection ratio (minimum 91 dB) and temperature drift (maximum 2.5 µV/°C) eliminate any need for trimming or calibration in the assembled circuit while ensuring consistent performance over a wide automotive-grade temperature range from -40 to 125°C. The rail-to-rail input and output functionality allow the op amps to be used for low-side and high-side current measurements without limitation.
The product features a low input-bias current and an energy-efficient combination of low power consumption and gain bandwidth (GBW), with maximum Icc of 850 µA for 2.7 MHz GBW and 9 MHz GBW for gain ≥10. This makes the series suitable for use in power-constrained sensor-signal-conditioning applications, while the wide supply-voltage range, stability in challenging operating conditions and tolerance of electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 4 kV (human body model) fit well in applications such as industrial equipment, building automation, medical instrumentation, LED lighting and automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
