Aaeon AEC-6636 compact fanless embedded controller with i5 processor

The Interworld Electronics AEC-6636 Intel Core i5/Celeron based embedded controller from Aaeon is a standalone embedded PC featuring fanless operation, compact size, robust construction and low power requirements.

The AEC-6636 can be supplied with an Intel Celeron B810 1.6 GHz or i5-2510E 2.5 GHz multicore processor to provide a processing platform. All AEC-6636 models are equipped with one SODIMM socket supporting up to 8 GB of DDR3 system memory, two gigabit RJ45 ethernet connectors, four USB 2.0 ports and four RS232 ports for communication. A 2.5″ SATA hard drive can be internally mounted for operating system and data storage while an internal CFast slot will support the next-generation CompactFlash storage cards. System expansion is also possible via an internal Mini-Card slot allowing an optional wireless LAN/Bluetooth card to be installed. The AEC-6636 provides VGA video output for graphics displays.

The fanless design of the AEC-6636 reduces the possibility of airborne corrosive or conductive materials entering the system to provide a long-term industrial computing solution. It operates from a 12 VDC power source with optional wide range 9 to 30 VDC models also available. The AEC-6636 is suitable for embedded vehicle systems as well as digital signage and factory control applications.
