Two acquisition modules and two software enhancements have been announced for the TLA Logic Analyser Family. The acquisition modules provide increased memory depth for the TLA700. The software enhancements include a capability that doubles timing speed and standardises the Windows 2000 operating system on both the TLA700 and TLA600.
These advances provide engineers working on fast processors, buses and systems with the tools required to capture more information as designs are tested, providing the detail needed to easily find errors.
Using the Windows 2000 operating system provides improved operations as well as network security for logic analysers connected to enterprise networks.
The TLA7Q2/4 acquisition modules increase the memory depth of the TLA700 Series from 16 to 64 M. This capacity allows the engineer to trigger on an error and acquire enough data to see the cause of the error over a wide span of time.
The TLA Version 4.0 application software introduces an 'internal 2X' mode that allows the user to perform high-speed timing measurements with a resolution of 2 ns and to further double the memory depth up to 128 M on a TLA700.
This mode permits high-resolution timing analysis with deep memory, on half the channels. Should more channels be required, an engineer can add timing modules to the TLA700 system.
When vast numbers of channels are needed, it can be configured with up to 8160 channels.
