ASB200-883-6COM compact embedded computer
Backplane Systems has announced the ASB200-883-6COM, a compact fanless embedded system based on the IBASE IB883 3.5″ disk-size embedded single board computer that supports 6x serial ports and 8x GPIOs
Configured with the 1.6 GHz Atom N270 processor and 945GSE chipset, it is housed in a steel, black chassis that can be desk or wall mounted.
The system has six COM ports on the front panel as well as eight programmable GPIO terminal block connectors, two USB 2.0 ports, LEDs for power and hard-disk drive and audio jacks for line-in and line-out connections at the front.
The rear panel I/O ports include dual GbE ports, another two USB ports, one VGA/COM, DVI port, PS/2 keyboard/mouse connector and one DC-in jack.
The system has one DDR2 SO-DIMM socket, one 2.5″ HDD drive bay and a 60 W power adapter and is suitable for low-power and fanless platforms that require support of multiple serial ports for use in POS/kiosk, digital signage, automation, transport and medical applications.
