The Atmel tinyAVR is the smallest family of microcontrollers that includes ATtiny4, ATtiny5, ATtiny9 and ATtiny10 and is now upgraded and available with extended temperature range to +125°C.

Small, fast and affordable microcontrollers are needed in many new energy-saving lighting applications from street lamps to LED and compact fluorescent light architectural lighting, and display backlighting.

The small sizes can be integrated in a small space-constrained lighting fixture and operate in a tight enclosed space where the operating temperature can rise above +100°C.

Featuring pulse-width modulation outputs and an analog-to-digital converter, which are preferred peripherals for control and feedback, the devices are suitable for intelligent and programmable control and sensing circuitry applications.
