Avago ACPL-336J and ACPL-337J smart gate drive optocouplers

Avago Technologies has introduced two highly integrated smart gate drive optocoupler devices, the ACPL-336J and ACPL-337J. They feature a 2.5 and 4 A rail-to-rail output, respectively, capable of driving high-power MOSFET or IGBT directly. They also feature fast propagation delay with good timing skew performance.

The products are enhanced with integrated smart features including IGBT desaturation detection with soft-shutdown protection and fault feedback; undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and feedback; and active Miller current clamping. These features provide a gate-drive solution for motor control and power inverter applications.

The devices come in a compact, surface-mountable SO-16 package for space saving. They are designed to reduce system costs and board space while improving overall power efficiency and reliability.
