Axiomtek has launched CEM840, its COM Express Type 10 mini module powered by Intel Atom E3800 processors. Measuring 84 x 55 mm, the product comes with onboard 4 GB DDR3L memory, quad core, wide voltage, high graphical power and a temperature range from -40 to +85°C. The industrial-grade COM Express module can be applied to applications including portable devices, IoT, automation, transportation, military, security, medical, retail and more.

The product supports four lanes of PCIe and rich I/O interfaces for user-specific expansions. With low power consumption and the capability of 4.75-20 V wide range voltage power input, the device is designed for users looking for a semi-custom and application-specific solution for harsh environments. The Intel HD graphics engine allows the single-chip module to deliver fast conversion of video for portable media players, online sharing, and video editing and authoring.

The computer-on-module is designed for serial signalling protocols, including one LPC, four PCIe x1, two SATA-300, one Gigabit Ethernet supporting Wake-on-LAN, eight USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, HD audio, 4-in/out digital I/O, one LVDS (18/24-bit single channel) and one DDI port supporting HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort. To ensure stability, hardware monitoring and Watchdog Timer are supported.
