Broadcast PCI Board

Tuesday, 13 March, 2001 | Supplied by: Innes Corporation

Auricle is one of a suite of broadcast PCI boards and systems for use in FM and AM broadcast studios.

The board is a professional quality audio input-output card and is supplied with DSP firmware and Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and NT4 drivers, providing DirectX, wave and audio mixing support.

The board has four balanced high-level inputs and outputs, configured as either a pair of stereo inputs and outputs, or four mono inputs and outputs.

Using 24-bit sigma-delta converters, data is transferred to and from the PC via a 32-bit bus mastering PCI audio interface.

The onboard DSP provides audio buffering, sampling rate conversion, level adjustment and mixing functions.

Sampling rates from 8 to 48 kHz are supported with either 16 or 8-bit PCM data. These may be set independently for each input and output.

The mixer functions provide input and output level control, muting, metering, and allow the line inputs to be mixed back into each output.
