The Prox-1710 P4 CPU card is powered by an Intel 845 chipset and can run up to 2.2 GHz. Equipped with an ATI Rage Mobility M6 VGA chipset, the CPU card is empowered to support the AGP 4x standard.

Three DIMM sockets are onboard to support up to 3 GB SDRAM under the control of the 845 chipset.

The Prox-1710 can support a wide range of applications, for example, it is suitable for network applications under the control of the Intel 82562ET chip, which enables the CPU card to support 10/100Base-Tx ethernet and Wake-on-LAN functions.

In addition, the Prox-1710 is expandable for multimedia applications by adding a sound module to its PPCI Bus. It is also practical for video applications, such as video streaming, video-on-demand, 3D etc.

The CPU card also features two IDE interfaces, one FDD interface, two serials, one parallel, two USBs, one IrDA, keyboard, mouse, speaker ports, one DiskOnChip socket, watchdog timer and hardware monitoring on voltage, CPU temperature and cooling fan.
