Backplane Systems has launched the portable CSB200-888 fanless computer system.

With one wireless antenna jack at the rear panel and one PCI-E slot for wireless module expansions, the system is suitable for embedded mobile applications in the communications, transport, healthcare and pharmaceuticals industries. Housing an Atom-based IBASE IB888 single board computer, the device features low power consumption and its steel, black chassis can be desk or wall mounted. The front panel includes one CompactFlash socket slot with ejector, four USB and one COM port, and there are two USB ports and one COM, RJ-45, DVI-D connector, DC-in jack and power button (with LED) at the rear.

It is supplied with a DDR2 SO-DIMM socket and is provided with a 60-watt power adapter.
